Sridevi had purchased property through valid arrangement

The report further reveals, Boney Kapoor told the court that Sridevi bought the property on April 19, 1988, from M.C. Sambanda Mudaliar. Mudaliar had three sons and two daughters, and back in February 1960, the family had an agreement about how the property would be divided among them. Based on this arrangement, Sridevi completed the purchase, securing full ownership of the property.

Three individuals allegedly claiming property rights unlawfully

Recently, three people have claimed rights over this property. One is a woman who says she is the second wife of one of Mudaliar’s sons, and the other two are her sons. Kapoor argued that the second wife’s marriage on February 5, 1975, is invalid, because the first wife of Mudaliar’s son only passed away on June 24, 1999.
This makes her claim legally questionable.

Boney questioned issuance of legal heirship certificate

Boney also raised concerns about the legal heirship certificate that was issued to these three individuals. He told the court that the revenue official had no proper jurisdiction to issue it and asked the court to revoke the certificate.
