Vineet Kumar Singh, the actor recognized for his role in the movie ‘Chhaava’, has safely returned to Mumbai after being stranded at Dubai airport. The unexpected closure of airspace in parts of the Middle East caused significant disruptions, leaving passengers in a state of uncertainty.
Speaking to News18 following his arrival in Mumbai, Vineet Kumar Singh recounted the experience. "We were clueless around 10 pm. Then we got the news that boarding started. Flight takeoff [was] little late but everything was fine. Emirates Airlines and Dubai airport staff helped everyone."
On Monday night, reports confirmed airspace closures in certain areas of the Middle East, shortly after Iran launched missile strikes on US bases in Qatar. Vineet Kumar Singh was at Dubai Airport when the news emerged.
He provided updates on his Instagram Stories at the time, stating, "I am at Dubai Airport. 9.23pm Dubai Time. Immigration done. Waiting at the gate for my flight (airplane emoji). Fingers crossed.”
Upon landing in Mumbai, Vineet Kumar Singh shared another update with his followers: “Landed (airplane emoji). Mumbai (red heart emoji).”
His flight was originally scheduled to depart Dubai at 9:40 pm on Monday. The airspace closure led to delays. Fortunately, flights resumed, enabling Vineet to return home without further complications.
The decision to close Qatar's airspace was a precautionary measure taken before Iran launched six missiles toward US military bases in the country. Bahrain and Kuwait followed suit, temporarily closing their airspace as well. Officials described these actions as temporary to mitigate potential risks to civilian flights.
Vineet Kumar Singh's acting career commenced at 21 with the film ‘Pitaah’ in 2002. He has since appeared in several acclaimed films, including ‘Chhaava’, ‘Mukkabaaz’, ‘Bombay Talkies’, and ‘Gangs of Wasseypur’. His performances in ‘Ugly’ and ‘Daas Dev’ have also garnered appreciation from fans.
