But as the second week rolled in, although the film crossed Rs 260 crore mark, the shine began to fade. Weekdays have brought a clear dip in earnings, showing that the film’s dream run is starting to slow.

'Coolie' collects over Rs 3 crore on day 13

According to early estimates by Sacnilk, on its second Tuesday, day 13 of release, 'Coolie' earned around Rs 3.25 crore (India net) across all languages. The film’s occupancy reports on Day 13 reflect this dip. The Tamil version recorded 15.14% occupancy, the Hindi version managed 15.67%, and the Telugu version stood at 15.03%.

Box office clash continues with ‘War 2’

'Coolie' had to face a heavyweight rival right from its release day. Ayan Mukerji’s 'War 2', featuring Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR, released on the same day. The clash raised eyebrows, with fans waiting to see which film would win the box office race.So far, Rajinikanth’s 'Coolie' has stayed ahead. Even on Day 13, despite its lowest earning so far, it still managed to outshine 'War 2'. While 'Coolie' collected Rs 3.25 crore net, 'War 2' brought in Rs 2.75 crore on the same day. That pushed 'War 2's total to Rs 227.25 crore, which means 'Coolie' continues to dominate the race.

Ganesh chaturthi celebrations affect weekday numbers?

One reason for the recent dip could be the start of Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations across the country. As families turn their focus to the festival, cinema outings may tend to take a backseat. The coming weekend will be crucial, if festive crowds return, 'Coolie' may pick up pace again. If not, its collections may continue to flatten out.
