Superstar Pawan Kayan had a lot at stake with his latest release They Call Him Og, directed by Sujeeth and co-starring Emraan Hashmi. The film was releasing on close heels from his disastrous last release Hari Hara Veer Malu, the film opened to big numbers but soon after the buzz fizzled out. But with They Call HIm OG the film has maintained its buzz not only through the weekend but also on its weekend which led to it going past Allu Arjun’s Pushpa: The Rise and breach into the the Top 10 Telugu grossers of all time. They Call Him OG started its journey at the box office with a band where it collected Rs 21 crore from its premiere shows, making it the biggest premiere day collection in the country. On its first day the film minted Rs 63.75 crore across languages with Rs 63 crore coming from Telugu only. On day 2 the film collected Rs 18.45 of which Rs 17.85 crore came from Telugu and on Day 3, the film called Rs 18.5 crore of which Rs 17.7 crore came from Telugu and on day 4 the film again collected Rs 18.5 crore but Telugu collection dipped to Rs 17.55 crore as per Sacnilk. On day 5 the film collected Rs 8.01 crore from the Telugu version whose total collection was Rs 8.62. And with that the total collection of the film stands at Rs 148.75 crore while the Telugu version stands at Rs 145.11 crore. And with Monday's collection, the film had crossed one more benchmark and that was beating Allu Arjun’s Pushpa: The Rise and has breached into the Top 10 Highest Grosser of Telugu Cinema. The Sukumar directed venture had collected Rs 136.43 crore from its Telugu version while the overall collection of the film across languages stands at Rs 267.55 crore.
The Hindi version had contributed Rs 106.35 crore. The other Telugu Top Grossers are Jr NTR's Devara: Part 1: Rs 220 crore, Prabhas's Saaho Rs 152 crore, RRR -Rs 431 crore, Baahbuali 2- The Conclusion: Rs 338 crore, Kalki 2898 AD- Rs 287 crore, Salaar: Part 1-Ceasefire; Rs 218 crore, Pushpa2: The Rule; Rs 342 crore and Adipurush Rs 133 crore.
