In 1959, Walt Disney released it's third Disney Princess movie, Sleeping Beauty. Sleeping Beauty is a beautiful tale of a young lady who has unknowingly been cursed as a baby by the evil fairy, Maleficent. She cursed that “before the sun sets on her sixteenth birthday, she shall prick her finger on the spindle of a spinning wheel, and DIE.” Luckily Merryweather, the fairy that hadn’t blessed her yet changed the curse slightly from Aurora dying, to her just being fast asleep until she is awoken by true loves first kiss.
