The highly anticipated film directed by Mahesh Narayanan, starring Mammootty and Mohanlal, is generating buzz again, this time due to speculation about its title.

A recent post on X (formerly Twitter) by Sri Lanka Tourism referred to the film as 'Patriot', igniting rumors that this could be the official title of the upcoming Malayalam movie. However, the film's team has not confirmed this, and the official title is yet to be announced.

Mohanlal Receives Warm Welcome in Sri Lanka

Mohanlal, the Malayalam superstar, recently arrived in Sri Lanka for the film's eighth shooting schedule. He received a traditional welcome from Sri Lankan tourism authorities. A video of his arrival, shared by his friend Ishanta Ratnayake, quickly went viral, further fueling curiosity about the project.

According to Manorama Online, the Sri Lankan schedule will feature key scenes with Mohanlal, Kunchacko Boban, Fahadh Faasil, and Darshana Rajendran.

This film, tentatively titled "Patriot", is directed by Mahesh Narayanan and boasts an impressive cast. Mammootty plays the lead, with Mohanlal in a crucial role. The film also includes Kunchacko Boban, Fahadh Faasil, Nayanthara, Revathy, Darshana Rajendran, and Zarin Shihab.

High Production Value and International Potential

The cinematography is being handled by Bollywood's Manush Nandan. With filming locations in Sri Lanka and a star-studded cast from South India, this project has the potential to become a pan-Indian film with significant international appeal.

In other news, Mohanlal recently starred in the thriller drama 'Thudarum'. Mammootty's previous film was the game thriller 'Bazooka', directed by Deeno Dennis. He also appeared in 'Dominic and the Ladies' Purse'.
