This cinematic venture follows Kajol's OTT debut two years prior, in the show "The Trial: Pyaar, Kaanoon, Dhokha." During the promotional activities for "The Trial," Kajol was playfully asked which real-life person she would like to put on trial. Her response? Her husband, Ajay Devgn.

“I’d put Ajay Devgn on trial and I don't even need to give any reason for it. Being a husband is more than a reason to put him on trial — and knowing him, he will even accept the charges,” the actress jokingly stated. The comment quickly went viral, with fans appreciating the couple's playful banter.

Now, the pair are set to collaborate professionally once more. "Maa" is anticipated to be one of Kajol's most emotionally intense performances in recent years. The film tells the story of a mother navigating loss, resilience, and sacrifice. Industry insiders describe Kajol's role as one with significant emotional depth.

During the promotions for "Maa," she confessed to not being a fan of the horror genre. “There are so many things in life that scare you naturally. You don't have to watch a movie, basically ” she added. Despite her aversion, she is surrounded by family members who adore horror films. “My husband, my son, my nephews — everybody around me loves, loves, loves horror. They watch at least one film every week. Come hell or high water.”

Kajol admits to watching a few horror classics, but with a personal twist. “I watch these films without sound. Without sound, I’m not that scared,” she revealed. It's a trick many viewers might find relatable – muting the jump scares while still enjoying the visuals.
