Fake blood is the perfect way to take your Halloween costume to the next level—and fake blood capsules are a great way to get started. With just gel capsules, syrup, water, and red, blue, and yellow food coloring, you can add a gory touch to your costume and props in a matter of minutes.

Mix your ingredients together.

Syrup, water, and food coloring all that you need. Mix together the following ingredients: 10 milliliters (0.34 fl oz) of golden syrup (any kind that is not dark syrup), 5ml or teaspoon of water, 2 drops of red food colouring, 2 drops of blue food colouring and 1 drop of yellow food colouring. Mix everything together in a jug.
- If you wish, you may add a pinch of cocoa powder for a deeper red colour.

Pour the fake blood into the capsules.

Warnings

Though the blood capsules are safe, don't over ingest the capsules. Golden syrup should taste good, but too much could make you feel sick. Spit it out and wash it out if not to your taste.
